When leadership goes astray one is faced with two choices. Either continue to follow that leadership and end up at whatever destination it does; or divorce yourself from it, and seek the proper path through other means. Prayerful informed choices will always trump those make in haste or ignorance.
Quite alarming to me is the realization most Christians of this generation have absolutely no idea what their favorite celebrity preacher or prophet really believes as doctrine, or what they perceive to be the divinely mandated role of the Body of Christ in the end-time scenario ahead of us. I think we need to ask ourselves just where are these supposed leaders of today’s Christian community actually leading us to; and more importantly: is that where God wants us to go?
Cotton Candy Prophets
The words of a false prophet tickle the emotions; the words of a true prophet prick the conscience. -Leonard Ravenhill
Most of the ‘prophesy’ I hear these days reminds me of cotton candy. Picture in your mind a bag or a stick of cotton candy. It’s colorful and festive; all fluffy and sweet. Great fun, and gives you a good sugar buzz too! But there is actually nothing really there but a small amount of sugar and some coloring noisily spun into a big fluffy ball that is 99% air. And when you ingest it that fluff instantly dissolves away into nothing but a sweet taste and, after a short sugar high, nothing of any substance or nutritional value has been consumed. An apt description of much of modern ministry!
The Apostle Peter used a similar descriptor when warning of the preaching of false prophets: ‘great swelling words of vanity’. Impressive oratory skills delivering an empty message in a manner that makes it seem vital to you and of great personal benefit. But no matter how greatly you inflate empty words, or how impressively you deliver them, they remain empty words just the same.
And Jude used the phrase ‘clouds without water’ describing false workers who blow into town with much thunder and lightning promising an abundance of rain. But when all is said and done, and the cloud has moved on, the spiritual landscape remains unchanged. After the Circus packed up and left town, nothing of any substance was left behind. Please forgive me if I repeat:
The words of a false prophet tickle the emotions; the words of a true prophet prick the conscience. -Leonard Ravenhill
The true prophetic voice delivers a balance of the goodness as well as the severity of God. A message that paints a backdrop of a warning of Judgment upon the unrepentant wicked, then overlays it with a promise of Blessing upon those who embrace a path of faith and obedience. We see this balance in the preaching of Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel, and all the other prophets; and also in the words of the Apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ.
This balance of truth will be unmistakably evident in the preaching of ALL true oracles of God in this generation as well.
But many of those claiming to be speaking forth from God today refuse to speak of God’s displeasure over sin, the defilement of society, or the coming day of his wrath.
This is an unmistakable hallmark of a false prophet or teacher!
Most of them would not touch a negative sounding expression with a ten foot pole; they speak to please man and not God. But those people-pleasers who will only speak smooth words of promise and blessing, pleasant to the ears, are perverting the true message into a false Gospel, and will stand before God as deceivers (except they repent).
The New Apostolic Reformation and the Seven Mountains Delusion
A dangerous charismatic heresy has sprung up in the midst of the Body of Christ that most, even many who are directly under its influence, are not aware of. It is a heresy that is somewhat difficult to pin down or define as it has the likeness of a chameleon. A morphing entity always changing faces and titles. It goes by many names: New Apostolic Reformation, Dominionism, Kingdom Now, The Seven Mountains Mandate and so on. Countless millions of believers worldwide are being misled and adversely affected in their understanding by the false teachings of this huge and rapidly growing movement.
In a nutshell these teachings center around a false notion that God has mandated the Church to rise up and rule over society by occupying key positions in the Seven Mountains (major facets) of society; and that their influence and control will usher in an age of peace and righteousness. Basically taking over the world for Jesus; and preparing it for his Return to rule and reign. (Bizarrely MANY of them believe he has already returned!)
I’m not talking here about some obscure cult off in the mountains of Tibet. I am talking about many of today’s most popular ministers and prophets you will see on T.V. and the internet, and who frequent the ‘conference and seminar’ circuit. Alarmingly many of these key players involved are focusing their efforts in the area of forming a unified global religious structure (under their control of course!).
(SIDE NOTE: It has not escaped the attention of many that the only Biblical reference to someone ruling from seven mountains is the great Whore of Babylon found in Revelation 17:3-9.
And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus… Revelation 17:6
This harlot sitting atop the seven mountains is the global religious entity which persecutes and slaughters the true followers of Christ in the end-times! Should we be following a ‘Seven Mountains Mandate’ which fosters the formulation of a global religious structure? You can; but COUNT ME OUT!)
The beliefs of most of those involved in this movement mirror the error of the founder of the New Apostolic Reformation, C. Peter Wagner, who teaches that society will not get worse, but better and better, as Christians rise up in dominion occupying the key leadership positions of the seven mountains of culture. He has also stated he no longer believes in a coming time of great tribulation preceding the Return of Christ; that it does not fit what God has shown him. But the truth is that what he claims God has shown him does not fit the Bible!
This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. 2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, 4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; 2Timothy 3:1-4
But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived. 2Timothy 3:13
There is great persecution ahead for the true followers of Christ. The notion of the Church rising up and taking over the political, economic, educational, and media structures of the world, and thereby enacting a reformation of society, is a PIPE DREAM that is NOT going to happen. The end-time scenario the Bible portrays is much different. The prophesies declare it is an oppressive tyranny that will rise up and take dominion of the entire planet, not the followers of Christ!
…that it shall be for a time, times, and an half; and when he shall have accomplished to scatter the power of the holy people, all these things shall be finished. Daniel 12:7
The Antichrist will wage war against the Saints and prevail against them until the Return of Christ defeats him and brings victory at last. THEN the Saints will rule and reign with Jesus! Yes there will be great feats accomplished during the coming tribulation, and great victories won in the name of Jesus; but overall the Church will be downtrodden and decimated before Christ returns. This is clearly shown in the Scriptures and must come to pass.
(SIDE NOTE: The mark of the beast will impose severe economic sanctions making it impossible for Christians to engage in commerce, or interact with society, in a normal fashion. They will become outcasts of society, NOT the rulers of it!)
Why can’t the N.A.R. / Dominion / Kingdom Now adherents see this? Because most of them have embraced a twisted view of the scriptures such as Preterism or Amillennialism, and do NOT believe in the coming great tribulation and the persecution it will bring. They are blinded by falsehood and have an unbiblical view of the events ahead. The Seven Mountains Mandate is a false vision that will bring great discouragement upon those believers hoodwinked into following it.
Where are they going; and do you want to follow them there?
The following link is to an article I found very telling of the direction the N.A.R. / Kingdom Now / Dominion crowd are heading. What are the key leaders of this movement doing meeting the Pope for discussion of bringing the Body of Christ into unity with the Catholic organization?
Do we want to walk hand in hand with heresy?
This is fruit of a wayward theology in action. Most of them view the Catholic entity as our Mother Church that we are estranged from (a complete falsehood!), and think they are going to reform her with their influence! They are foolishly pursuing a vision of conquering the Mountain of Religion and thereby bringing about a unified global religious structure under their influence and control.
Well guess who shares that same vision?
That’s right! Satan is at work to build the same structure so he can install the False Prophet as head, and control all religious activity, eventually culminating in the worship of Antichrist as God! The N.A.R. / Kingdom Now /Dominion folks are steering their unsuspecting followers right into the bondage of religious tyranny and the clutches of the Devil.
Is that the type of leadership you want to be following?
Catholicism Is Provably Heretical!
A man that is an heretick after the first and second admonition reject; 11 Knowing that he that is such is subverted, and sinneth, being condemned of himself. Titus 3:10-11
As believers we are commanded to rebuke and reject those whose teachings and practices are heresy. This is not an option. What are professing Christians doing having fellowship with the Pope instead of rebuking him for the unspeakable evil and heresy of the Catholic organization? (It is not even worthy of the name Church.)
I’m not going to spend a lot of time here going over the heretical nature of the Veneration of the Pope (and Mary), Mary as co-redeemer, the Sacrifice of the Mass, Purgatory, praying to the dead Saints, and so on. You can do a simple search on Catholic heresies and find all the proof you need.
Let’s just suffice to say the organization is EVIL, and it’s teachings and practices are quite contrary to Scripture.
The Pope Is A Jesuit!
Most people have little idea of the significance of that statement. You do not become a Jesuit through good deeds or outstanding character. The Pope is not a true Christian, he is a servant of the evil one. A man who is a Jesuit priest has made dark satanic oaths, and is sworn to practices of deception. This dark underbelly of the Catholic Organization is well cloaked and hidden from society, but many (even some ex-Jesuits) have brought the evil of this satanic order to light.
Here is a link to a page which gives a massive amount of info on the Jesuits. If you are not familiar with the evil nature of the Jesuit order I highly recommend you spend some time on this site:
Thank you John Little (Omegashock.com) for all the hard work putting that together for us!
The Bottom Line
The N.A.R. / Dominion crowd and the Pope and his underlings are not the only ones working towards a unified global religion. Many others such as the World Counsel of Churches, the United Religions Charter. International Ecumenical Fellowship, etc. are working toward the same goal. Wikipedia lists over seventy such organizations! These efforts will coalesce into the entity which will fall under the control of the False Prophet; which could very well be the same Jesuit Pope who is making the big push for unity today!
So next time you hear one of today’s Cotton Candy Prophets spewing out their ‘great swelling words of vanity’ ask yourself: Why do they speak only smooth words; and refuse to speak out against the sins of God’s people, the defilement of our nation, or the coming wrath of God?
Are they really hearing from God?
Why aren’t they warning of the coming persecution, the great tribulation, and the dangers of the mark of the beast and Antichrist’s war on the Saints?
Are they REALLY hearing from God?
PLEASE! Take the time to examine the belief system of these N.A.R. / Kingdom Now / Dominion prophets and teachers; and ask yourself: Where are they heading, and is that really the destination I want to arrive at?
The only sane answer is: ABSOLUTLY NOT!
