Hell Has No Exits! Leonard Ravenhill

Who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come? John the Baptist

Recently I posted an article by Ufuomaee on what the Bible has to say on the subject of Hell and eternal punishment. I had just started an article of my own, but when I came across that one I felt led to post it instead. If you have not read it you should. You can find it HERE.

The Lord is once again stirring my heart on this matter of eternal punishment; but I don’t feel I have the complete word as of yet. Sometimes a word will burn in my heart for quite some time; and only an extended amount of prayer will bring it forth. I really feel a need to ‘get this one right’ and bring forth the heart of God! Please pray the Father would give me a concise word for the people of God, and to the lost.

The reality of an eternal Hell of misery and torment is one of the least preached on topics today; but the Lord Jesus himself thought the subject was of such importance he actually spoke on it twice as much as he did the promise of salvation! Some persist in saying this is a mistaken claim, but I know this is fact because I took the time to search out and add up all the references myself.

In the Scriptures we clearly see Jesus placed a very strong emphasis on the danger of damnation in his ministering, We see little evidence of such emphasis in modern preaching. We are hearing more and more preaching filled with the heresies of ‘annihilation’ or ‘ultimate reconciliation’ from today’s pulpits. Why is this?

We Are In An Age Of Apostasy!

That which calls itself the Christian Church has entered an age of great apostasy which is setting millions up for the great falling away prophesied in the Scriptures (2Thess 2:3). If you are sitting under the ministry of a preacher or teacher who never warns of the reality of Hell, and the wrath of God soon to befall the wicked, you are sitting under one who is perverting the Gospel!

One of the aspects of the false narrative on Hell I am studying out is the notion that Hell is the wrath of Satan eternally poured out upon the lost. Though many testify to dreams, visions, or near death experiences that describe the evil ones in carnival as they torment the lost, I can find no where in the Bible where it details either Satan or his minions administering the torment of Hell. Hell is the wrath of God! I will post more on this as I get a leading. Feel free to share your thoughts on this in the comment section.

He that saith unto the wicked, Thou art righteous; him shall the people curse, nations shall abhor him: 25 But to them that rebuke him shall be delight, and a good blessing shall come upon them.  Proverbs 24:24-25

It is my prayer the the Body of Christ become troubled deeply over the corruption and watering down of Christ’s Gospel. Troubled deeply enough to lift up a complaint in the ears of the ones who ought to be heralding the true teachings of Christ Jesus and warning the wicked of the Judgment to come!

God judgeth the righteous, and God is angry with the wicked every day. Psalms 7:11

May the LORD help us all (especially me) not to shirk our duty in this regard.

As I am a little pressed for time this week let me leave you for now with a very thought provoking message on Hell by brother Leonard Ravenhill. (You can find many of Brother Ravenhill’s excellent messages at Sermonindex.net – a wonderful resource!)

  1. There are common everyday sinners. Then there are the TRULY EVIL ones. Good thing it’s not up to me what God plans to do with those! The ones who kill and maim millions. The ones who enjoy inflicting pain. The details are too gruesome for mixed company as they used to say. I expect when ‘every tear is dried’ the memory of those will be wiped away as well from God’s children. Otherwise, how could we experience any kind of happiness in the hereafter?

  2. Awesome post. I stopped going to “church” 2years ago. Tried many in our new area and everyone was the same- DEAD! No truth being taught, even the small country churches. So I stopped wasting my time . I get more on the net from a select few. Thank you for a great insight as to the way churches need to be preaching

    1. Linda;
      Thanks for the comment. Oh how I wish there was a church near me that even attempted to follow the true teachings of Christ and his apostles. I would labor faithfully in that congregation. But all the ones in this area are either dead fundamentalist or caught up in the falsehoods of the wayward signs and wonders movement.

      I do believe in signs and wonders with all my heart (I have seen the miraculous), but I cannot be a part of the heresies of the ‘New Apostolic Reformation’ and the associated crowd.

      Blessings;
      Paul Benson
