…if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them. Isaiah 8:20
But if a man walk in the night, he stumbleth, because there is no light in him. John 11:10
Recently a friend asked me of my opinion of the prophetic words being spoken by Mark Taylor concerning the future of America. Since Mr. Taylor’s rebuke of those ‘Doom and Gloom’ minded people speaking forth words of God’s Judgment upon this nation would be directed at me (as I firmly believe that America IS currently under the Judgment of God), I would like to answer his words publicly.
In case you do not know who I am speaking of, Mark Taylor has risen to somewhat of a celebrity status in the Christian community over some prophesying he did concerning Donald Trump and the elections; and has since become quite popular, speaking on many Christian platforms. He fervently promotes Donald Trump as the ‘anointed deliverer’ of this nation, and refers to him as a ‘Political Prophet’. (I didn’t even know there was such a calling. How ignorant of me!)
Let me begin by stating I do not know Mark Taylor personally; nor do I know where he is at as far as his relationship with God. So this is not an attack on his character or his lifestyle, but merely a response to the message he is putting forth. And, having listened to Mr. Taylor speak, I must admit that I do like a lot of what he has to say. He is very passionate about many key issues facing the Body of Christ today (abortion, corruption of the Government and the organized Church, the 501c3 minister-muzzle, etc.), and he voices concern over these important issues quite effectively.
BUT… he has bought into a false paradigm concerning his vision for the future of America (and the role of the Body of Christ in fulfilling that vision); which I believe is just another expression of the falsehood of the Dominionism/Kingdom Now error that has so many in it’s clutches today. He is prophesying a false word over this nation; and labeling those who disagree as furthering the purposes of Satan!
I would like to point out some areas where I think Mr. Taylor has really missed it. Missed it to the point his words are dangerous and damaging to those embracing his message. Let’s start with the prophecy that began it all and prompted his rise to popularity. It has been commonly labeled ‘The Firefighter Prophecy’ due to Mr. Taylor’s former occupation. Here is that prophecy from his website with the problem areas I would like to address highlighted:
4-28-11 Commander in Chief
The Spirit of God says, I have chosen this man, Donald Trump, for such a time as this. For as Benjamin Netanyahu is to Israel, so shall this man be to the United States of America! For I will use this man to bring honor, respect and restoration to America. America will be respected once again as the most powerful and prosperous nation on earth, (other than Israel). The dollar will be the strongest it has ever been in the history of the United States, and will once again be the currency by which all others are judged.
The Spirit of God says, the enemy will quake and shake and fear this man I have anointed. They will even quake and shake when he announces he is running for president, it will be like the shot heard across the world. The enemy will say what shall we do now? This man knows all our tricks and schemes. We have been robbing America for decades, what shall we do to stop this? The Spirit says HA! No one shall stop this that I have started! For the enemy has stolen from America for decades and it stops now! For I will use this man to reap the harvest that the United States has sown for and plunder from the enemy what he has stolen and return it 7 fold back to the United States. The enemy will say Israel, Israel, what about Israel? For Israel will be protected by America once again. The spirit says yes! America will once again stand hand and hand with Israel, and the two shall be as one. For the ties between Israel and America will be stronger than ever, and Israel will flourish like never before.
The Spirit of God says, I will protect America and Israel, for this next president will be a man of his word, when he speaks the world will listen and know that there is something greater in him than all the others before him. This man’s word is his bond and the world and America will know this and the enemy will fear this, for this man will be fearless. The Spirit says, when the financial harvest begins so shall it parallel in the spiritual for America.
The Spirit of God says, in this next election they will spend billions to keep this president in; it will be like flushing their money down the toilet. Let them waist their money, for it comes from and it is being used by evil forces at work, but they will not succeed, for this next election will be a clean sweep for the man I have chosen. They will say things about this man (the enemy), but it will not affect him, and they shall say it rolls off of him like the duck, for as the feathers of a duck protect it, so shall my feathers protect this next president. Even mainstream news media will be captivated by this man and the abilities that I have gifted him with, and they will even begin to agree with him says the Spirit of God.
Although I could spend a great deal of time discussing the various facets of error expressed through this (supposed) ‘prophecy’ I want to concentrate on a few facts that prove this to be a FALSE prophecy. The first and most glaring being (and I cannot believe so few have given this any regard!) is the fact this prophecy was given clear back in 2011 concerning the upcoming 2012 election proceedings!
Hello out there! Is everyone asleep???????
Please carefully read the last paragraph of that prophecy. This supposed God Given utterance stated that Trump would run against, and defeat!, Barak Obama (or whoever he is) in the 2012 election.
(In case you may have been in a coma or on another planet in 2012, Trump did NOT face Obama in that 2012 election!)
And secondly, in this prophecy it clearly states that all the money (billions?) spent to keep Obama in office would be spent in vain; that it would be a clean sweep for Obama’s opponent and that Obama would be defeated!
This clearly was not the case!
And thirdly, in the last two years I sure have NOT seen the Mainstream Media enthralled with Trump’s persona and abilities! In fact just the OPPOSITE! They have been mocking him and belittling his ability to govern since day one! Even to the point of calling him mentally unfit to hold office!
When a prophet speaketh in the name of the LORD, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which the LORD hath not spoken, but the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously: thou shalt not be afraid of him. Deuteronomy 18:22
If this supposed ‘word’ from God were in a baseball game it would be three strikes you’re out! In what twisted universe would three strikes be considered a home-run? Apparently the one the modern Church has taken up residence in. Because somehow this failed prophecy from 2011 about the 2012 election has been pulled from it’s grave and was resurrected as now supposedly applying to the 2016 election; and it is being hailed as a true word from God! I really do believe in recycling but…
Come on people; let’s get a grip on reality here!
If I prophesied WW3 would break out this year and it did not happen, would that war breaking out years later somehow make my prophecy true? Absolutely not! And Donald Trump getting into office in 2017 does not make a false prophecy about the 2012 election somehow magically become now true either. True prophecy comes from the mind of God. Do you think God does not know WHEN and HOW things are going to occur?
The Word of God states that if someone speaks a word in the name of the Lord and that word does not happen as spoken then it DID NOT come from God! The only exception would be a conditional word prophesying judgment that was averted by repentance such as what we saw with Jonah and his prophesying against Nineveh. This prophecy given by Mr. Taylor was not such a case. It is unmistakably a false prophecy, and anyone who would consider it an accurate word from God is delusional.
With this recycled prophecy as a foundation Mr. Taylor has gone on to bring forth many other prophetic ‘words’ about the future of this nation and God’s dealings with its inhabitants. That this false vision is fueled by Dominionist theology is quite evident in much of what he claims is ahead for this nation. And anyone speaking words of a coming Judgment upon the sins of this nation (that would be ME) is labeled by him as an ‘enemy combatant’! Here is an excerpt from another example of his prophesying that greatly disturbs me:
07-07-17 Satan’s Frequency
The Spirit of God says, “Why are you tuned into the enemy’s frequency? Why aren’t you tuned into mine? Why do you listen to the doom and gloom? Do you not realize that they are tuned into the enemy’s airwaves? I said go through out all the earth and preach my gospel, the good news! Then why is there so much doom and gloom? Why are you siding and agreeing with the enemies plans? Repent! You give more airtime to the enemies plans than mine, thus empowering his plans. Did I not say that life and death are in the power of the tongue? Then speak life!
Why are my leaders searing the consciousness of my people with doom and gloom teaching? You who preach doom and gloom are robbing my people of hope and the will to fight. You are no longer saving lives but taking them. How you might ask? Your doom and gloom messages have robbed them of hope to the point of suicide! You prophets and pastors of doom and gloom now have blood on your hands! You are prophesying your own doom! Repent!”
I wonder where he would have stood with the preaching and prophesying of men like Noah, Jonah, Jeremiah, Isaiah, or even the Lord Jesus himself as they prophesied the coming Judgment of God upon the sins of the society they dwelt in? Judgment that most assuredly came to pass just as was spoken by God through them! Was Jesus ‘tuned into the frequency of the enemy’? Were they all ‘siding with the enemy’ with their words of negativity?
I wonder what Mr. Taylor would have to say to David Wilkerson, Dumitru Duduman, Henry Gruver, A. A. Allen, Dr. Johnathon Hansen, Michael Boldea, or the host of other well respected men of God who have prophesied the coming Judgment of this sinful nation? Were they ’empowering the enemy’ with all their negative words?
That’s exactly what the false prophets (which saw only a vision of peace, safety, and prosperity for Jerusalem) said of Jeremiah. They accused him of siding with the enemies of God’s people and being a traitor to his nation!
When I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die; and thou givest him not warning, nor speakest to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life; the same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand. Ezekiel 3:18
Who is it that end up with blood on their hands? The one who scares people with words of God’s Judgment upon the sins of mankind (as Mr. Taylor insists); or is it those who pacify and pet the people with smooth words of peace and prosperity when they need to be warned instead? Please excuse the Montana lingo, but I think someone has gotten it ass-backwards here! (And it is not God!)
SIDENOTE: Isn’t it so sad they way biblical truths get twisted around backwards when prophesy comes from the mind of man and not from the mind of Christ? There is so much that could be discussed about the unbiblical nature of certain statements made in these words of Mr. Taylor. Maybe we should mention here that being subjected to words warning of Judgment DOES NOT ‘sear the consciousness’ of those who hear them as the supposed prophecy states above. It is failing to heed those words of warning, and stubbornly continuing on in sin, that sears the conscience! Let’s get it right!
By mercy and truth iniquity is purged: and by the fear of the LORD men depart from evil. Proverbs16:6
The fear of the Lord is a vital element of our avenue of escape from the bondage of sin. Words of pacification will never set free a sinful society. They steal away the fear of the Lord from you. They will actually strengthen the grip of sin upon you!
Yes, God’s people do need to have hope and be encouraged! But true faith is not a byproduct of a positive attitude fueled by positive words. Our faith is to be based upon the full counsel of the Word of God (negative as well as positive), and a confidence in the faithfulness of God to fulfill his Word; not upon positive sounding words of a bright and sunny future for a nation that refuses to repent and turn from those things which are an abomination to God!
This ‘positive words only’ type of ministry we see so evident today is not in line with the ministry we see expressed in the Scriptures. And it produces a dangerous false assurance in the lives of those living out of sync with the will of God; just as it did in the days of Jeremiah. When the Judgment of God finally manifested in his day the people were unrepentant and unprepared. And, even then, the false prophets were speaking more lies saying: It’s not that bad; it will be over and back to normal in just a couple of years!
(Yeah, like seventy maybe?)
Time and time again history shows us where God has judged nations and allowed great hardship and disaster to overtake them; even to the point of being overrun and occupied by their enemies (America’s future fate if we do not repent soon!) because of an unrepentant sinful populous.
Is America under Judgment or not?
I have been saying for quite some time that Judgment is not coming to America; it is already here! We are under a progressive manifestation of divine Judgment that will grow increasingly worse as the people of this nation refuse to heed the call to repent.
The vision these Dominionists are prophesying for America is a false vision. It is not from the Father. Mark Taylor is deceived, and therefor he is deceiving others with his words.
The decades long decline in our industry and manufacturing capabilities, the decline in our food production capabilities (off shore as well as inland), and the lost solidity of our economic structure (so well disguised by fraudulent means but soon to take a fall eclipsing the one of 2008), are all a precursor of the more serious manifestations of Judgment to follow.
Donald Trump is NOT the answer for the woes of this nation. In spite of his good efforts and remarkable skills in the business and financial sector (and what progress we WILL see through his efforts) the Judgment of God will continue to manifest; and hardships and calamities ahead will overshadow any good he has accomplished. The future outlook for this nation is not one of prosperity nor peace; but of increasing unrest, disaster, and economic hardship. America will not be ‘great again’ without a return to the morality and righteous activity that brought her under the blessing of God in the first place.
The Judgment of God is upon the sins of this nation. And, as followers of Christ, we had better be walking in a manner that will bring the blessing of God upon us as individuals because his blessing has been removed from us as a nation!
But Mr. Taylor completely disagrees with that line of thought. He firmly declares that America is NOT under Judgment; but entering a time of great prosperity where we will ‘harvest’ all the seeds we have sown around the world with our good deeds. I wonder what the citizens of the numerous nations we have destroyed in recent decades (for their own good mind you) would have to say about all these seeds we have sown?
Mr. Taylor repeatedly puts forth the notion that God would be unrighteous to judge this nation considering all the good we have done in the past; but what says the Scripture?
But when the righteous turneth away from his righteousness, and committeth iniquity, and doeth according to all the abominations that the wicked man doeth, shall he live? All his righteousness that he hath done shall not be mentioned: in his trespass that he hath trespassed, and in his sin that he hath sinned, in them shall he die. Ezekiel 18:24
To count upon a former righteousness (that has long since been tossed aside) to make us righteous in God’s sight in this day is as foolish as trying to sell an old dilapidated house by posting a picture of it when it was new and in pristine condition. Is anyone going to buy that house once they see it? Do you think God has lost his vision?
Would you refrain from disciplining an unruly and out of control child because he ‘used to be so good’? Not if you are sane!
Mr. Taylor does backtrack a bit (completely contradicting himself) and say the Government and Church of this nation are under judgment; although the nation itself is supposedly not(?). He is correct there. And both are deserving of God’s judgment for the iniquity expressed in the behavior of each. And the Scripture does say that: judgment must begin at the house of God (1Peter 4:17).
But it does not end there!
In the long run it is the adultery, fornication, homosexuality, abortion, greed, pornography, and all the other filthy behavior engaged in by the people of this nation that has it under divine Judgment. A Judgment that is not off in the future someday; but is upon this country right now, and will greatly increase as things progress.
In closing, I would like to say I am once again struggling for the words that would convey my total amazement that the Body of Christ in this nation has become so scriptural illiterate, and void of discernment, as to embrace the deluded vision of what I call the Cotton Candy Prophets of this generation. A foolish neglect of the Scriptures (that can make one wise to salvation) has created a generation subject to deception and distraction.
In fact, you would not even need to be a student of the Bible to discern Mark Taylor’s ‘Commander in Chief’ prophecy to be false. All you would need is to do is actually read it in a common sense manner, and engage a little critical reasoning; instead of just hearing whatever you want to be true.
What does that say about our spiritual status that an obviously false ‘word’ could propel a deceived individual preaching a false vision to such popularity in our midst? And with so many ears itching for more of the same? God have mercy! Here is some prophesy I can guarantee you is from the Lord! It is a warning about those who claim to be speaking on God’s behalf but are not:
Thus saith the LORD of hosts, Hearken not unto the words of the prophets that prophesy unto you: they make you vain: they speak a vision of their own heart, and not out of the mouth of the LORD. 17 They say still unto them that despise me, The LORD hath said, Ye shall have peace; and they say unto every one that walketh after the imagination of his own heart, No evil shall come upon you. 18 For who hath stood in the counsel of the LORD, and hath perceived and heard his word? who hath marked his word, and heard it? 19 Behold, a whirlwind of the LORD is gone forth in fury, even a grievous whirlwind: it shall fall grievously upon the head of the wicked. 20 The anger of the LORD shall not return, until he have executed, and till he have performed the thoughts of his heart: in the latter days ye shall consider it perfectly. 21 I have not sent these prophets, yet they ran: I have not spoken to them, yet they prophesied. 22 But if they had stood in my counsel, and had caused my people to hear my words, then they should have turned them from their evil way, and from the evil of their doings. Jeremiah 23:16-22
May the Father keep those who genuinely love the truth from the deceptions of these final years. In Christ Jesus’ name!
Paul Benson
P.S. Here is a video where Mark Taylor admits his prophecy was a failed word about the 2012 election; but now his excuse for missing it is to blame God’s incorrect timing! Is God so scatter-brained he has to rewrite prophetic words to get them right? I personally doubt it!

Hi John;
We do (and should) rejoice in the fact the mercy of God has been extended to this undeserving nation as long as it has. Our Father in Heaven is a God who is slow to anger and full of compassion and mercy!
But the fact God is calling this nation to repentance is going pretty much unheeded; and the Scriptures promise Judgment upon a nation that forgets their God (Psalm 9:17). That Judgment lays in America’s future no matter who is in the Oval Office.
And as far as Trump being responsible for what benefit we are seeing through his administration we would do well to remember the admonition of the Scriptures that says:
Pro_21:1 The king’s heart is in the hand of the LORD, as the rivers of water: he turneth it whithersoever he will.
It is GOD HIMSELF that determines what sort of governmental behavior we receive. Basically: We get the government we deserve according to our actions and lifestyles. Most believers who are all extolling Trump as America’s savior fail to realize that God could have just as easily turned the heart of Hillary Clinton to accomplish his will if he so chose. And God could just as well harden Trumps heart as he did that of Pharaoh. It’s NOT who is in office that sets the stage for what governmental officials dictate! It is our sovereign God!
America was greatly blessed of God because of the strong base of Godliness and righteousness that permeated our America culture. Yes, there have always been the wicked among us following after their perverse desires, but on the whole America used to be a godly (God-fearing) nation. Those days are no more!
Divine Judgment awaits this nation; and a great purging of the American Church is in our future! We would do well make sure we ourselves are each personally deserving of the favor and blessing of God upon our individual lives; and to to place our confidence not in who is in the White House but who sits on the throne in Heaven IMHO

He said “He Thought, himself, that the word from God was about the election in 2012”. NOT that God had said that it was. You’d have to be precise in you comment.
Then why hasn’t he missed any of the other prophecies?
Other have also claimed that D.J.Trump is put there for a special purpose and “a time like this”.
Why do you think all the corrupt persons (most) in congress and the political realm are fighting hard to get rid of him? Because they are in one way or more compromised “honey fed” and wound up in blackmail, so that they can be controlled by the Luciferic powers from behind the veil.
I am sure that God has given some more time before the Tribulation starts, because the “church” is so blinded and lead astray. Thankfully people are starting to wake up, even outside of the believing community.

Hi LL;
The wording of that ‘prophesy’ clearly states that Trump would run against Obama and beat him in spite of all the money spent to keep Obama in office. What has happened since does NOT change the fact he gave a false ‘word’ about THAT election. And has built a ministry upon the foundation of that prophesy; as if some how what has transpired since somehow validates his failed words. NOT!
And as for his ‘words’ since that time being accurate – well I think you are just hearing what you want to.
What really disturbs me is when I hear him refer to those who are prophesying the coming Judgment of America as false speakers. Thank God that we are not under the thumb of Hillary Clinton; and I do believe that is due to a measure of God’s grace while the call to repent is still going forth to this nation.
But I firmly believe that Judgment is nearing. America WILL FALL to her enemies because of her unrepentant, rebellious, and hedonistic lifestyle of debauchery. Yes, many of the things Trump has accomplished are a definite benefit to our nation. And good on him for that. But Divine Judgment is in the future of this nation no matter what good Trump gets done, or how hard M. Taylor and others want to rebuke those making that claim!
In Christ Jesus;

I have learnt to tremble at GOD’s WORD. I find Mark Taylor to be a true prophet. Yet, I have learnt that prophets can also make mistakes, sometimes. It is not for us to judge any prophet of GOD. I would leave it to GOD to correct him As prophets, we can easily be guilty of pride. So, we have to re-examine ourselves and repent constantly so that we are not guilty of pride. I personally believe that the LORD is coming soon to meet us in the air. This will be followed by the destruction of America, and the period we call the GREAT TRIBULATION. This could be as early as the end of next year.

Hi John;
Yes, the Lord alone is the ultimate judgment of mankind. But to say we should not lift our voices (particularly if we be called as watchmen) over falsehoods being fed t the Flock of God is paramount to compromise and dereliction of duty.
Mark Taylor’s rise to popularity (and thus the basis for the ministry he puts forth) is founded upon a false prophesy. His prophesy was about Trump beating Barack Obama in the 2012 election; and we know that scenario is absolutely bogus. And the way he speaks evil of those teaching anything negative about this nation (and it’s future state) further marks him as one who is NOT speaking forth the mind of Christ.
The Bible promises divine Judgment upon ALL nations who forsake the Lord; and to promote this country as one deserving the blessing of God you must ignore the abortion, homosexuality, pornography production and consumption, and every other abomination Americans embrace like it’s a God-given right.
The future of this nation is NOT a continuing ‘Greatness”; rather it is divine Judgment according to the pattern and promise of the Word of God.
And as far as any ‘pre-tribulation rapture’ event whisking the Church away to Heaven before the reign of Antichrist and his persecution of the Saints: Now YOU yourself are assuming the role of a false speaker and are in danger of standing before God as a false witness. False teaching is NOT benign, it is malignant and spreads into deeper and deeper error which ultimately damages those who embrace it.
I just did a video on the true biblical timing of the Rapture. I hope you would take a few minutes and prayerfully consider what was clearly shown in that teaching.

I kept getting thumbnails on my YouTube homepage of Mark Taylor as I’d watched one video. I started watching several and of course, it tickles the ear. But discernment smacked me in the face. I did a search on “Mark Taylor Rapture” just to see his stance, which brought me to your page. Because of being attacked for my own beliefs, as of late, I’d been questioning things, “is the Rapture happening this year,” etc. See, my life has been an utter Hell and I am hanging on, medically by the skin of my teeth, all the while my family is disintegrating in front of my eyes. All I do is wait, like an impertinent child for our Blessed Hope and it is refreshing to see ALL of my own gut feelings, realized in this particular thesis. Does Mark Taylor realize the actual damage he’s doing? I doubt it and he’s just another in a long list of people, eyes glazed over, clouded perceptions, especially those who have a monetary gain as he does. Truth has been intertwined w/his expose’s thus he’s able to fool the masses…rather, Satan is pulling the fake Lamb’s wool over their eyes!!

Just watched David Wilkerson prophecy in 1973 , in this prophecy he says that the world for a short period of time will be opened up to the gospel. How will this happen ? Could this happen under the Trump Presidency? The Bible says that the gospel will be preached throughout the world. Was David Wilkerson a false prophet ?

I believe Donald Trump was put in place by God. He is our President and I support him. When Nathan came to David and said you are going to be King, it didn’t happen right away. Kim Clement prophesied Trump was to be President also. So did Jonathan Cahn. I believe they heard from God. We must trust God, He has given us more time to witness for Christ.

Amen! I have often wondered why people who seem so sweet, so sincere about God and seeking to serve Him, are yet not very knowledgeable about the Bible, and take what they are told by experts so unquestioningly. They become stymied easily when one brings up the unpopular view, or very nervous as though trapped in the presence of an “evil heretic”, or simply blindly resistant. The response that leaves me speechless is, “well I trust our preacher, he wouldn’t lead us into something that was wrong, he knows the Bible better than I do”. I have been told this by even an elder in a church, as well as personal friends at the churches I was at, men and women! Yet Apostle Paul said don’t even trust him if HE came preaching a different gospel! Test everyone! We don’t have to be “scholars” to understand scripture! In fact, God seems to favor the unlearned of the world with his Truths! We DO need to have the Holy Spirit and a humble, persistent hunger for Truth. I really worry for what further delusions these people will fall for in the future! This delusion is “bigger and easier” than I ever thought it could be years ago. Lord, I pray I be not deceived also! Help me watch!
