Additional Witness

…in the mouth of two or three witnesses shall every word be established. 2Cor. 13:1

Hello Readers!

I recently posted links to some articles that give additional witness to the concerns I have expressed on the current wave of deception facing the Body of Christ. I truly hope you took time to consider the articles ‘The Two Camps’ and ‘Performance Based Prophecy’ by Jerimiah Johnson, and ‘The New Apostolic Reformation: What Is It?’ by MattS. from aminutetomidnite.com. I feel both these brothers are bringing forth understanding critical to the Church today. Both have done further work that builds upon that understanding, and I would like to share those links with you also.

The N.A.R.

It is vital to comprehend that the errors of the New Apostolic Reformation, Dominionism, and the Seven Mountains Mandate are all tentacles of the same root of deception being imposed upon us in this age. And this wayward ministry is being promoted by an alarming number of the big name ministries enjoying current popularity! It is like a tsunami of deception washing over the Western Church, and spreading from there throughout the world. This false move of God needs to be discerned, avoided, and spoken against by those with a love for the Truth and a desire to walk in the faith once delivered to the Saints. Here is two articles by MattS that discuss this matter in a deeper fashion.

The False Prophets

I cannot overstate the importance of grasping the fact that there is both a true prophetic voice as well as a false speaking to the Body of Christ in this generation. Yes. God does still speak to his people with a current prophetic word! He did not loose his voice, nor become disinterested in communicating with his children. But the Holy Spirit is not the only spirit speaking forth words of prophecy to us today. The enemy of our souls has control of the mouths of a great many (actually most in my opinion) who believe they are speaking divine mandate but are sadly not!

And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. 5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.  Matthew 24:4-5

One of the most remarkable (at least to me) end-time prophecies Jesus gave tells us that the Christian Church would be subject in the last days to much deception broadcast not by those outside the Church, but by those coming in the name of Jesus and declaring him to be the Christ! We need to by all means ‘Get That Right’! The deceivers are no longer outside the gates trying to breach the walls and over-run the city. The walls have crumbled from neglect, the watchmen have deserted their posts, and the enemy walks the streets for the most part unhindered.

Contrary to the theology of many deceived persons a believer can be seduced away from the truth and fall from grace. You can lose your soul for following words of deceit instead of clinging to the words of life that proceed forth from our Redeemer! This biblical reality drives me to speak with great concern for those giving place to the ear-tickling and pacifying words we hear coming forth from every corner today.

Here is a very strong warning of the consequences of following deceptive teaching given to brother Jeremiah Johnson in the form of a prophetic dream. I hope you would read it and take it to heart. (Thanks once again to Meranda Devan for posting this to her site Why God?)

A Hellish Prophetic Dream Of The Danger Of A Signs And Wonders Ministry Without Repentance by Jeremiah Johnson

  1. Jeremiah Johnson in his dream, claims these false prophets are moving in God’s spirit and God’s gifts, yet they don’t live nor preach repentance. (In an article on his site about prophets that die before their time, he and God apparently approve of Kim Clement, John Paul Jackson, and Bob Jones!)
    But here is what God says about them in Jude 17-19, “but beloved, remember ye the words which were spoken before by the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ: how that they told us that there should be mockers in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts. These be they who separate themselves, sensual, HAVING NOT THE SIRIT.”
    To say these men are moving in God’s spirit and gifts is wrong and dangerous. It makes one feel like they must be nice, loving patient and don’t separate from them because, after all they have God’s spirit and so are brothers. They may claim God’s spirit and gifts but Jesus will say, “I never knew you, depart from me, ye that work iniquity”. Matt. 7: 21-23.
    They have received deceiving spirits and doctrines of devils, not God’s HOLY Spirit.

    1. Hi Ginny;
      We need to understand that there are those false workers who have never known God; and also those who have started out truly anointed and gifted, but strayed from the truth or into sin. It’s not always easy to tell the difference, but both are headed for Judgment.

      Stanley Frodsham’s 1965 prophecy about the great end-time deception speaks of those who start out right and then stray into error, and it is very enlightening. You can find it here:

      It’s up to God to decide who has crossed the line and departed from his grace. But I Honestly believe that some of the greatest damage being done to the Church in this day is self-inflicted.
      Blessings and grace to you Ginny;

  2. SIGNS & WONDERS are found in many religions, not just Christianity. Andrew Strom wrote a book Kundalini Warning which compared the aberrations in today’s Tod Bentley style revivals to Asian practices like Shaktipat during which the guru lays on hands and the recipient has many strange physical reactions. Similar ecstatic phenomena can result from Qigong cults. There are probably many other examples in mystery schools that we don’t hear much about.

    The danger comes from seeking an EXPERIENCE rather than a real connection to God. Certainly crowds are drawn to the big music and light shows. It is a kind of entertainment. Huge numbers of people will flock to the latest popular movement. Since when was popularity a way to determine the truth of a matter? DECEPTION is so subtle. Just mix in a little truth with It feels so good it must be right and there go the multitudes.

    1. Frances;
      Thanks for the link. I have read much of A Strom’s work.
      I believe him to be a true and faithful witness of the Truth. He is one of the ones who have not thrown out the baby with the bath water as so many do. He preaches the miraculous power of God, and also a demand from God for repentance, just as the Scriptures pattern for us.
      Blessings and much grace to you sister:

  3. Thank you for your thoughts, Paul.
    I agree that there are two types of false teachers, and that God is the ultimate judge of salvation. However we are called to discern sheep from wolves by their fruits, and God’s Spirit does not produce bad fruit. I have been involved in two cult like churches in my search for ” radical Christianity”. One Fundamental Baptist and the other Latter Rain, decades apart. I went through a great deal of turmoil and research in finally leaving each one. Being guilt tripped by wrong applications of verses on loving your brother, praying and not judging, no one is perfect, etc is difficult to see through, when you like the people and want to believe the good in others. I have had to stick with scripture and make hard choices or I would have never left those churches. This may make me sound a little hardline, even though I do wish for any to repent who will. (I have given up looking for a church at this point, and fellowship with individuals and sites like this one, etc.)
