Recently a reader sent me a well-meaning rebuke on how he found my consistent attack on false teachings to be “lacking in grace and love (and driven by the Law and commandments).” I did my best to reply in a manner that explained the deep burden I carry as a teacher who is called to carry a prophetic message of, not only the Coming wrath upon the Wicked, but also the coming Judgment upon a back-slid Christianity that is heading for a serious period of purging and sifting before the Return of our Lord for his Bride.
As I was spending the morning in prayer (and in consideration of his exhortation) the following compilation video from Sermonindex.net came up in my Que. Let me just say this video hit me like a brisk breeze to the cloth of a sail-boat! I wonder if brother Fred would consider these great men of God to be also lacking in grace and love, and find them likewise a bit too ‘legalistic’?
If you have never checked out Sermonindex you are missing out on a great resource that makes available to you the preaching of great men of God like Zac Poonen, Leonard Ravenhill, A.W. Tozar, David Wilkenson, Keith Daniel, Carter Conlon, Paris Reidhead, etc. etc. etc.. The preaching of these folks will bring to you the TRUE Gospel, not the convoluted mess that is being vomited forth from most pulpits in this day.
And PLEASE pray for me in my new venture into teaching videos. I would like to see my efforts express a bit more polish (and effectiveness) than I have been able to produce thus far. But I am confident the Lord is leading and will grant increase.
Blessings upon all who love our Christ;
Paul Benson
Hi Paul, this video is a great message. Some time ago, I shared with you concerning the fear of the Lord, that it is the restrainer. (2 Thess 2v7…10) In context, with out the Fear of the Lord there is lawlessness, the spirit that now works in the children of disobedience Eph 2v2, who do not love the truth v10. There with be an end time falling away and a great delusion. I recall an article by you stating “I don’t know who the restrainer is and neither do you.” Well all I can say is it was a word of wisdom from the Holy Spirit that revealed this to me. All the other opinions on this subject never made sense to me. What do you think?

Hi Pat;
You very well might be on to something there. I had similar thoughts along the line of what is ‘restraining’ is merely that it’s just not time yet; in that the world must become ‘worthy’ of the curse of God (lest I come and smite the earth with a curse. Mal. 4:6). The curse of God that brings about the rise of Antichrist and the utter desolation his ‘answers’ will bring. A passage that comes to mind is:
Gen 15:13 And he said unto Abram, Know of a surety that thy seed shall be a stranger in a land that is not theirs, and shall serve them; and they shall afflict them four hundred years;
Gen 15:14 And also that nation, whom they shall serve, will I judge: and afterward shall they come out with great substance.
Gen 15:15 And thou shalt go to thy fathers in peace; thou shalt be buried in a good old age.
Gen 15:16 But in the fourth generation they shall come hither again: for the iniquity of the Amorites is not yet full.
Apparently the iniquity of the Amorites had to rise to a certain level before God would judge that they should lose their land to the invading armies of Israel.. I think this will possibly be played out on global scale in the last days. The iniquity of man will rise to a level (come to a full) where God now deems the world worthy of what Antichrist will bring to pass!
Also, as I have stated numerous times, we must discern that the great focus placed on the question, of what or who the restrainer is, is a purposeful distraction (concocted by the pre-trib crowd) to take focus off the fact the genuine issues being addressed in that chapter are actually a rebuke to pre-trib theory. All they want to do is focus on verse 7 and rarely discuss the remainder of the chapter; and certainly NOT the preceding chapter. How often have you ever heard a pre-tribber expound on Chapter one of 2 Thess.? Probably never!
Blessing brother;
Paul Benson

I too agree with this, but I would add that the fear of the Lord has been lost because people tryed to dissociate the fear of God form the love of God. But the love of God and the fear of God cannot be dissociated, there are one thing. People that don’t fear God don’t either love God the correct way, even don’t truely love God at all.
Revelation 2 shows that the true love of God (love + fear God) only exists because of the Holy Spirit, and that there is a moment when people stop loving God then God remove his Holy Spirit, causing the fear of God to be completely lost:
“…because thou hast left thy first love…. I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent.” (Rev 2:4-5). Remember: “The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom” (Ps 111:10).
My wife had a revelation from God. She said:
“The true triune God leaves the church, while the devil comes into the temple dancing and jumping, and finds pleasure in it.”
We saw this beginning to happen in the years 80’s, we now have no church to go; we cannot endure to stand in any of these vile entertainment places people call a “church”. We now remain at home on Sundays, like Nathanael remained under a fig tree instead of going to the den of thieves where Jesus overthrew the tables…

Video will reach many people. I know many seniors who have trouble reading so watch or listen instead. I am a writer myself and love language and good writing by others. The general public is media oriented now. Keep going. You will get better and better. I kind of enjoy homemade video anyway. Even Greg Hunter at Usawatchdog just holds up a printed piece of paper for his visuals. So don’t fuss over production values! It’s the content that matters!

“The Fear of the Lord Has Been Lost”
Very good article and very good video, and that’s true. I have written about this problem in an article titled “The Devil has entered into the church”, speaking about the problem of rock / pop / contemporary music in the church. The article was miraculously published in the Chinese newspaper 世界日報 (World journal) on 14 and 21 May, 2006. (I am not of Chinese origin and my Chinese is very limited, so that’s a true miracle that the journal ever published my article! Thank’s God!) English translation of the whole article is available on my website:

Here is an extract of the article:
…
8: Does “Christian” contemporary music make people feeling good?
Psalm 111:10
“The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do his commandments: his praise endureth for ever.”
Most of Christians are so longing for good feeling that they have forgotten the fear of God. They only like a “love” gospel, but don’t accept a “love and fear God” gospel. But God’s salvation is not unconditional, God wants a broken and contrite heart. “Christian” rock music and Christian contemporary music, like movie music, is based on sensuality. Jesus has become a star, a lover, and a man made idol; there are no more holiness, no more conviction of sin, no more real repentance, there are no more holy things left.
Realizing these points, there is no doubt the Devil has entered into the church, and has taken control of it. In his Chinese book “Ministry of life” page 86, Philip Teng wrote:
“In our days, God’s revelation has been replaced by a man made doctrine, humanism has seep into theology. Even more, evangelical church is centered on a lot of human factors, for instance, man-centered worship (entertainment worship) more than on God worship; man centered sermons (believe in Jesus to obtain joy, satisfaction and peace, without mentioning repentance toward God); fellowship programs based on man’s interests, etc.
Today in the Christian community, high educated young theological leaders must be aware of keeping Biblical faith without deviating and without any compromise!”
