Are you bringing condemnation upon yourself by teaching things about the end-times that the Bible does not? There WILL be consequences!
Well folks, as promised here is the first of the video series I will (Lord willing) be producing. It’s been quite a process to get to this point. But I have a strong witness this is the direction the Lord is leading, and will hopefully be uploading teachings on a consistent basis. I found the rebuke of the Pre-trib Rapture doctrine in this video by brother Prasch to be quite sound. Though I could point out a couple areas where I think he has still to work his eschatology ahead a bit (as do we ALL!) the points I disagree with him on are not that significant. The previous video in this series was also an excellent talk on the origin and preservation of sound doctrine. You can find that video HERE.
PRAYER REQUEST: I am working towards the goal of producing teachings on the topics the Lord has called me to focus upon in video and audio format. The learning curve involved is huge make that: HUGE! and I have allowed this to hinder me from moving ahead for much too long. (Also feeling I have a face made for radio and a voice fit for penmanship hasn’t helped any either!) But, although the Lord is patient and understanding in working out his will in our loves, there comes a point where it is high time to quite dragging your feet, get over your insecurities, and get on with getting on.
SO….. Here I go! And I would really appreciate the prayers of those who follow my blog. I know that intercession truly makes a difference. And your prayers would mean a great deal to me. So thank you in advance. I will try to post something soon, but it may take a bit longer to get equipment, editing, publishing etc. figured out to that point.
Does your expectation of Christ’s return for the Church line up with the biblical pattern shown forth by the prophetic Feasts of the Lord?
This is one of the best videos I have found on the prophetic Feasts of the Lord. He brings out the clear truth that the Feasts which the Jews were commanded to observe were given to present a prophetic picture of the 1st and also the 2nd Coming of our Lord.
One thing I really appreciated in this teaching by brother Amir is that he stays away from the misconceptions so popular among the pre-trib crowd that the ‘rapture trumpet’ takes place at the beginning of the fall feasts (the Day of Trumpets they incorrectly say) and thus the Church is absent from the tribulation typified by the remaining days until Yom Kippur (Atonement) which typifies the Second Coming.
He brings out that the fall Feasts involve a series of trumpets not just on the first day. This is significant because the pre-trib teachers say that when the trumpet sounds to begin the fall feasts this typifies the rapture happening before the tribulation and the Church as entering our eternal ‘Jubilee’ at that time. But as Amir teaches (and I also believe) the series of trumpet blasts continues through out the 10 ‘days of awe’ and finishes with the Last Trump on the Day of Atonement. Something pre-trib teachers miss (or willingly ignore) is that the year of Jubilee does not begin on the first day of ‘trumpets’; it only begins AFTER the last long trumpet blast on the Day of Atonement! According to the biblical pattern of the Feasts of the Lord the Church will begin our eternal Jubilee at the Second Coming! Let’s get it right!
And thou shalt number seven sabbaths of years unto thee, seven times seven years; and the space of the seven sabbaths of years shall be unto thee forty and nine years. 9 Then shalt thou cause the trumpet of the jubile to sound on the tenth day of the seventh month, in the day of atonement shall ye make the trumpet sound throughout all your land. Leviticus 25:8-9
Question: Why do the pre-trib teachers place the blowing of the ‘last trump’ (ie. the resurrection/rapture) on the first day of the month instead of the tenth day where it belongs (the Day of Atonement which typifies the Second Coming)?
Answer: Because they must depart from the biblical pattern or it would expose the error of their doctrine!
I hope the reality of the foretelling of the 2 Comings of Jesus to Earth found in the Feasts of the Lord are as much a blessing and edification to you as they are to me. God revealed these truths to me by his Spirit quickening various O.T. passages in the Word to me long before I had been exposed to any significant teaching on the issue. It was a very exciting time of study and worship for me to say the least! I have an article on that HERE if you would like to read it.
What lays ahead for Jerusalem is a far cry from what many are teaching!
In my writings dealing with the many falsehoods surrounding the pre-trib rapture teaching I have many times pointed out the error of the claim the coming time of tribulation is ALL about God dealing with Israel. It’s the time of Jacob’s trouble! they claim, and: The Church has no part of the events of that time!
And as I have repeatedly shown, a thorough examine of the prophecies dealing with the last days shows that: as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth (Luke 21:35); and that the entire world will be called to repentance in that day – including the Church!
But, to maintain a proper balance and biblical perspective of end-time matters, we must not lose sight of the significant and earth-shattering events that WILL transpire in the middle east (and in Jerusalem in particular) in that day. In the following video brother David Pawson gives a talk that boldly challenges the misconceptions many have about what lays ahead for the nation of Israel. I really admire the way he addresses many topics the weak-hearted and weak-kneed refuse to preach on. Let me know what you think of the message.
I welcome your input!

Hello brothers and sisters in Christ. Last week I wrote about the coming purge of Christianity that will precede the Return of our Lord. Here is a great message by David Wilkerson that discusses this process of purification on an individual level.
I have stated many times I feel the greatest preparation one can do for what lies ahead is to get rid of whatever might be keeping you out of God’s favor and his perfect will for your life, and to immerse yourself in his Holy Word. To those who are compromised and defiled with the things of this world the days ahead are going to be a horrible time of purging. Continue reading “The Sifting Process – David Wilkerson”
I don’t know that I could possibly recommend a more insightful and balanced ministry than that of brother Zac Poonen. His teachings on Christian doctrine in general, and the eschatology in particular presented in the following video, are in excellent harmony with the Scriptures.
Why are so many today explaining away certain truths of the Bible that men of God once greatly expounded upon?
by Paul Benson
I want to share a message on 2Thessalonians chapter 2 by David Wilkerson with you. It speaks even louder today that when it was preached. But before I do I want to give you a sense of why I feel this message is so critical to hear right now.
The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight. Mark 1:3
Just as John’s astute message on repentance prepared a straight path for the coming of Christ and his message to the world, so also will a repentance-less gospel make a crooked path in preparation for Antichrist and his. That path is being prepared before our very eyes!
Just as the true gospel that is according to godliness prepares the hearts and minds of those who embrace it to come into communion with ‘our Father who art in Heaven’, in a similar manner the corrupt and perverted gospel going forth in this generation is preparing those who are seduced by it to come under the spell of a not-so-heavenly father: the one from the black abyss! Why is it that the Western Church is so willing to accept wacky alternative renderings of Scripture all the while turning a blind eye to the fact they are so obviously errant? Is this not apostasy in action?
by Paul Benson
(I know I have recently touched upon the issues addressed in this article; but feel led to do so in a more thorough manner. So I ask my readers to please excuse any redundancy. P.B.)
And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb’s book of life. Revelation 21:27
Of all the truths critical to the well-being of humanity we can say certainly the most vital center around the love of God for us, and his desire to rescue us from the consequence of sin through faith in his Son and the sacrifice of Calvary. And I hope that divine truth reigns supreme in your consciousness!
And there is definite reason that the Apostle Paul said ‘comfort one another with these words’ in regard to the resurrection of the dead and the future catching away of the believers. The reality of the resurrection unto eternal life is the hope of the believer. And we should all be firmly settled in that hope.
But as a watchman at the wall I feel divinely compelled to consistently raise warning concerning another vein of truth. And that is concerning the danger of people of faith being seduced away from Christ by the lure of deception. That there are those who can with great subtlety twist the truth into a lie. And they can make these lies sound so plausible and reasonable with their ‘great swelling words of vanity’ (2Peter 2:18) that it can corrupt your understanding of God’s ways to the point you lose your grip on the truth.
And this is one area where we had better ‘get it right’! God is a God of Truth. Lies and deceptions are a defilement and an abomination to him! Please read the opening verse again asking the question: What will be the fate of those who turn aside to lies, and defile others with those lies?
Scary business. The path to eternal life is truth. We must not depart from that path!
Is there any correlation between the number 10 and the time of great tribulation? I think maybe we have missed something there!
by Paul Benson
…and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.-Jesus to the Church at Smyrna
Let me start by saying I am not really a big numerology buff. Many Christians are. And some take it to such extremes that they are seeing (and hearing) things I believe are not really there!
When we start searching for ‘revelations’ we desperately want to see, rather than searching for the voice of God to speak what he wants to say to us personally, we are opening doors that might be better left closed. Without the leading of the Holy Spirit we are likely to get distracted, or worse yet out-right deceived. And I actually feel straying too far into numerology can lead to a sin akin to seeking guidance from the stars. (I am speaking of astrology.)
I sometimes get lengthy e-mails so full of numbers, symbols, and disjointed thoughts trying to tie them all together that it is impossible to make heads or tails of what the person is trying to communicate. It sounds like: ‘When you add this to that and divide it by this you get so and so; and when that is compared to this number added to that one, and now related to all these other numbers, you MUST come to this conclusion!’
And I have to sit back and go: ‘Lord, is there anything you are trying to say to me through this jumbled up mess?’ And not very often do I get any ‘quickening’ from those lengthy treatises! Not to offend anyone but I see so many go out into la-la land over numbers and sequences of numbers that it has kind of turned me off to deeper exploration of this topic.
But in this matter, as well as all things, we must be open to the leading of the Holy Spirit. And we should realize that at times God certainly does speak through various numbers in the Bible. I view the number 10 as being one of those prominent numbers. Let’s look at that number in relation to end-time events. Continue reading “Tribulation And The Number 10”
For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.-Jesus the Christ
In a comment concerning last weeks guest post ‘The Rapture of the Church is after the Tribulation – by Rob Miller’ brother Roy Peterson brought up the question of the length of the tribulation and the later outpouring of God’s wrath at the Second Coming. Since answering this issue led to many associated thoughts I have put them into this weeks article. Continue reading “How Long Will The Prophesied ‘Time Of Great Tribulation’ Last?”
