Whereas many choose to debate the ‘eternal security’ issue like the Hatfields and McCoys, I see more wisdom in seeking for understanding that will deliver us all to a place where we ARE truly secure: abiding steadfast in Christ!
by Paul Benson
As believers we need to have a strong assurance of our salvation. That we are nestled safely in the grace of our God; sins forgiven, past forgotten, our future certain. But we also need to be aware that there very much is such a thing as a false assurance, a deluding influence which causes many to mistakenly believe they are secure when they are not. And it is vital we know how to discern the difference.
There are multitudes who have never been truly saved, but believe that they are; and there are some who were once full of grace but have fallen from that state, and do not realize it.
Contrary to the teachings of many (who promote a doctrine of Eternal Security) the Bible is full of stern warning of this false assurance; and what it will bring upon those who do not escape its grasp. But thankfully the Bible is also full of assistance in recognizing this condition; and how to trade in a counterfeit assurance for the genuine article. We can know our true status with God (and how to correct it if need be)! Continue reading “The True ‘Security’ Of The Believer!”
The infamous Mr. Pre T. Rapshur is subjected to an examination. What is the prognosis? See for yourself!
by Paul Benson
Here in the state of Montana (USA) when folks are concerned about the well-being of someone there is a procedure in place where you can notify the proper authorities, and they do what is called a wellness-check. And if it seems there is a reasonable cause for concern that person is transported to a medical facility for an exam to determine the condition of their health.
In the Christian Community there is a growing concern for a fella that goes by the name of Pre. T. Rapshur. His delusional ramblings and unsteady gait (as well as a serious vision problem) has led many to seriously question his condition, and wonder if possibly he is a danger to the public at large. Due to this concern Mr. Rapshur was recently sent in for an examination. Here are the results: Continue reading “Mr. Rapshur Goes In For A Check-Up!”
This is a guest post by Ed Lane from Orlando Florida. A great piece from a former die-hard NIV user who woke up to the corruption of the modern versions, and is now taking a stand against them. Great job Ed! P.B.
The words of the Lord are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.Thou shalt keep them, O Lord, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.” Psalm 12:6-7
“A little leaven leaveneth the whole lump.” Galatians 5:9
“Prove all things; hold fast to that which is good.” 1 Thessalonians 5:21
I used to dismiss the King James Version of the English Bible entirely. I thought of it as a ridiculous and outdated translation – an anachronism at best…and then I studied the history of current English Bible translations in great detail, and realized that ALL of the new versions use corrupt and purposely adulterated Greek manuscripts, which water down the eternal word of the living God…every last one of them. That Greek your pastor often refers to in church? It flows from corrupt Greek manuscripts first edited by the gnostic, self-castrating “scholar” Origen (and a student of his work, Eusebius), who believed in purgatory, universalism, that all human souls have existed from eternity past, that satan (and demons) would eventually be redeemed, and that Jesus did not actually return to earth in the flesh after his resurrection. Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. -Paul an apostle of Jesus Christ
Many people like to pin name-tags upon themselves: ‘Pastor So and So’, or ‘Apostle Follow-Me’, or ‘Prophet Seen-This-Seen-That’, and so on and so forth. I personally choose not to; but if I had to put a tag upon myself it would probably be something along the lines of ‘Paul a Recovering Failure as a Christian’. You see, I am the one who faltered in his faith. I am the one who lost his vision of the Promised Land, and spent years wandering in the wilderness of sin.
By the power of God’s grace that era of my walk is now some two decades behind me. I live a sanctified life free from habitual sin. And although I have an absolute confidence the sins of my past are forgiven, and I walk free of any condemnation over that disobedience, still I do not particularly like discussing those days. But from time to time I get a prompting from the Lord to revisit the defeat of those years, and the victory God brought to me, in the hopes of helping someone else find the victory they need. “Only the pure truth of God’s word will be as an anchor in the storm, and as a lamp in the darkness,” the man said. “All else will fade away into nothingness. For the days to come are dark days filled with turmoil and great anguish.” -excerpt from M. Boldea’s dream

John 7:37-38, “On the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.”
It had been a busy four months. Geno and myself had been on the road since the beginning of January, and the weekend of April 30, we were scheduled to speak in North Dakota. This however, was a special meeting. It was to be held on an Indian reservation, plagued with countless vices, and in recent weeks with the spirit of suicide as well. It was an open meeting, where Christians and non-Christians had been invited. For the past two weeks I had been praying for direction as to what I should speak. It was a new forum for me, and I knew I needed guidance and direction. As the day drew nearer, I prayed even more, but had received no answer. Continue reading “An Anchor In The Storm”
Passover through Tabernacles: the Old Testament Feasts paint a prophetic tapestry of the Lord Jesus Christ and his role as our Savior. Recognizing this is a great faith builder!

The Prophetic Feasts Of The Lord
Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me. John 5:39
One of the greatest blessings I have ever had in studying the Scriptures is how God revealed to me the prophetic nature of the Old Testament feasts. That from Passover right through to Tabernacles the ‘Feasts of the Lord’ present an awe-inspiring prophetic picture of the birth, life, ministry, death, Resurrection, ascension, and current role as intercessor of our Lord Jesus Christ; as well as his future Coming to rule and reign!
How amazing that all these things concerning Christ could be perfectly foretold in the various aspects of the yearly feast days celebrated by God’s people down through the centuries. As a student of God’s Word I had always had a tiny glimpse of these truths through the New Testament usage of phrases like ‘Christ our Passover’ and ‘Christ the Firstfruits’ and so on. But it took an amazing encounter with the Holy Spirit to really shine the light on this; and when he did a whole new dimension of God’s Word wonderfully opened up to me. Should we accept the notion that the coming ‘great tribulation’ Jesus spoke of is the Wrath of God being poured out; or is this a concept out of sync with God’s Word?
by Paul Benson
The Great Tribulation
For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. Matthew 24:21
When Jesus was teaching on the end-time events which would precede his Return he spoke of a period of tremendous woe upon mankind. He described a coming time of war, famine, plague, natural disasters, great religious deception and persecution of the followers of Christ on a scale never seen before.
Many Bible teachers are claiming this time of great tribulation is actually the wrath of God being poured out upon mankind. And that because God has promised to ‘save us from the wrath to come’ the Church will be taken to Heaven before this woe begins. But where did anyone get the idea that when the Bible speaks about being saved from God’s wrath it is referring to the ‘great tribulation’? Is this a notion that is actually presented by the Scriptures? Let’s take a look. Continue reading “Is The Great Tribulation God’s Wrath?”
I thought maybe this week it might be nice to take a breather from all the concentrating on doctrine, world affairs, and the unfolding judgment of God upon our nation, and take a fresh look at just how wonderful God really is. Care to join me?
by Paul Benson
We live in quite serious times; and much of the work I do as a Christian writer deals with subject matter a little on the negative side. Constantly warning about false teachings, the sinful condition of the world, God’s call for repentance, and the divine judgment now manifesting upon our reprobate nation can get to be a bit taxing. Sometimes we just need to draw aside and meditate on how wonderful God really is; and to renew ourselves in a revelation of his love and mercy. I’m kinda having one of those weeks.
When I pray I often like to recite the Lord’s Prayer, and at times I have difficulty getting beyond the first six words: Our Father who art in Heaven. I find my thoughts flooded and my feelings overwhelmed with the realization of how big God is (and how terribly puny I truly am); and yet he cares so deeply about me. How utterly amazing! Well I promised a question and a poem. Here’s the question: Continue reading “Just A Question and A Poem”
Should believers give up praying for America to turn back to God (as many are suggesting); or cease with their warnings of divine judgment upon her?
by Paul Benson
Are Americans Without Hope Of A Future?
For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds. -Paul an apostle of Christ
As human beings it is quite natural to take concern for the future; for our own, and also that of our children and grandchildren. We want to live a peaceable life, and to have an assurance that our offspring will grow up in a culture where they can thrive and prosper as they raise families of their own. But these days many are wondering if there will even be a future for them to live in!
The prophets of God have long since been testifying of the coming destruction of this nation. Looking around at the current condition of our society: the economy, food and oil production, industry, religion, education, and now outright acts of terrorism (not to mention the tyrannical turn our government has taken) it becomes quite apparent the blessing of God has been removed from this country.
A very popular notion; but is this truly something the Bible teaches?

Who Were The Sons Of God In Genesis 6?
…when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown. Genesis 6:1-4
I think God went to great lengths to make the Bible an interesting and mysterious book. One that would hold our attention and provoke us to study. While the basic doctrines of the Christian faith are explicitly and plainly stated in the Word of God (with multiple witnesses), there are many truths in the Scriptures which are not so clearly expressed. Some are scattered like pieces of a puzzle throughout the pages of the Bible, and must be gathered into your understanding by much prayerful study, and then sorted out and pieced together.
Then there is another category altogether. Mysterious segments of Scripture which raise serious questions; of which we are given little assistance answering by the remainder of the Bible. One such passage is Genesis 6:1-4. The wording of these verses has led many to believe that fallen angels took wives of human women, and produced hybrid offspring. Others absolutely reject that idea. This debate has been ongoing since the days of the early Church. Here are my thoughts on the matter. Continue reading “Genesis 6: Did Fallen Angels Marry Women And Produce Hybrid Offspring?”
