A very popular notion; but is this truly something the Bible teaches?

Who Were The Sons Of God In Genesis 6?
…when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown. Genesis 6:1-4
I think God went to great lengths to make the Bible an interesting and mysterious book. One that would hold our attention and provoke us to study. While the basic doctrines of the Christian faith are explicitly and plainly stated in the Word of God (with multiple witnesses), there are many truths in the Scriptures which are not so clearly expressed. Some are scattered like pieces of a puzzle throughout the pages of the Bible, and must be gathered into your understanding by much prayerful study, and then sorted out and pieced together.
Then there is another category altogether. Mysterious segments of Scripture which raise serious questions; of which we are given little assistance answering by the remainder of the Bible. One such passage is Genesis 6:1-4. The wording of these verses has led many to believe that fallen angels took wives of human women, and produced hybrid offspring. Others absolutely reject that idea. This debate has been ongoing since the days of the early Church. Here are my thoughts on the matter. Continue reading “Genesis 6: Did Fallen Angels Marry Women And Produce Hybrid Offspring?”
During my early morning prayer time on July 24 2016, the Father spoke the following words to me.
“There is a poisonous pollution being spewed across the churches of America. A false prophecy of hope, rooted in the trust of a man. I will expose this false Hananiah prophecy in the coming days! I will clear the air in My Churches with fresh revelation and fresh anointing. I am not the author of confusion! I have not sent these false prophets, who are not prophets, but mouthpieces for the wicked one!
Confusion, deception, and false revelation reeks from the mouth of these vipers and snakes. Their venomous poison has been designed to confuse My Church, to paralyze them between two opinions. Whom shall I serve and whom shall I believe? But I will settle the score and I will settle the issue. I will silence the prophets of Hananiah with great vindication to My Jeremiah’s, My Isaiah’s, and My Prophets of Truth!
I will clear the air says your God. I will remove the stench of the Prophetic Pollution that the prophets of Baal proclaim. This will be the showdown of My Word against the god of this world.
The prince of the air has confused many but I will reveal My Truth. I will reveal My Voice and those who know Me will respond and follow Me. My Sheep know My Voice, My Church knows My Ways, My Bride knows the time of Her departure. For it is when the fig tree bears her fruit, the time is nigh. Do not be dismayed by the prophesies of false peace and false hope. The tares will always grow among you. But you must abide in Me and My Words abide in you. That will be the difference between the wheat and tares of the last days. I know the difference says the Lord and I will reap, bundle, and store what is Mine!
But for the unprofitable servant, I will cast him out. For I will reward both the wicked and the righteous. Choose this day; to whom will you serve, and to whom will you listen!”
What direction are we being steered in by those who claim to be at the forefront of what God is doing in this generation? Do we actually know where our mentors are headed; or for that matter even really care? Well, we should!

When leadership goes astray one is faced with two choices. Either continue to follow that leadership and end up at whatever destination it does; or divorce yourself from it, and seek the proper path through other means. Prayerful informed choices will always trump those make in haste or ignorance.
Quite alarming to me is the realization most Christians of this generation have absolutely no idea what their favorite celebrity preacher or prophet really believes as doctrine, or what they perceive to be the divinely mandated role of the Body of Christ in the end-time scenario ahead of us. I think we need to ask ourselves just where are these supposed leaders of today’s Christian community actually leading us to; and more importantly: is that where God wants us to go?Continue reading “Cotton Candy Prophets and the Road To Rome”
Do you ever wish you had a greater ability to know which ministries to trust, and which ones you should avoid? Maybe this will help.
by Paul Benson
Take heed that no man deceive you. For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. -Jesus Christ
These words of Jesus are not a warning of people claiming to be the Christ as some suppose, but of those who will come in Jesus name, declaring Jesus to be Christ, but preaching deception. Just because someone opens a Bible and says, ‘Jesus is LORD!’ does not mean what they say came from God.
The warnings of false Prophets and false Teachers among us occupy a sizable chunk of the Scriptures. We are given not only stern and frequent warning about these beguilers; but also many clues to recognize their attributes and tactics, as well as the fruits that follow them. The inability to distinguish between correct ministry and deception is directly related to a lack of familiarity with the teachings of God’s Word. Let’s take a fresh look at some key points the Bible gives on recognizing false workers. Continue reading “Discerning Deceivers: 12 Biblical Keys To Recognizing False Prophets and Teachers”
In this age of great deception, more than ever the world needs to hear the Love of God preached in a manner that is in accord with the Scriptures. But are they?
by Paul Benson
The Love Of God
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. John 3:16-17
The most important revelation you will ever get in life is that God really does love you, and wants to be in perfect communion with you. Matching that level of importance, or at least running a close second, is the understanding that all who reject his love will face his eternal wrath.
Until we come to this realization we cannot properly appraise the purpose (or value) of life. No matter how successful a person is, or well known and respected, without a proper understanding of the love of God for mankind we will never know but a meager fraction of life’s potential. Considering the fact our interaction with, and response to, this divine outreach is a matter of eternal life or eternal death; it might behoove us to make sure we have an understanding of God’s love which is in accord with the Scriptures. Why does so little preaching today focus on the Blood of Jesus? Have we lost touch with the message that truly saves?
by Paul Benson
For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul. Leviticus 17:11
The message that brought salvation to me was a sermon on the Blood of Jesus Christ. In 1980 a 23 year old lust-filled, alcoholic, drug-abusing criminal sat in an old fashioned revival meeting and received the good seed of the true Gospel. I cannot express to you how totally strange (2nd time in Church in my entire life), but yet so very wonderful, that experience was to me. The sermon was a lively message on the power of the blood of Jesus to bring salvation and the forgiveness of sin.
The sweat drenched preacher, with his wife loudly augmenting his every sentence with some hot licks on an old Hammond B3 organ, was like nothing I had ever seen before. The boisterous preaching of Sam Luke the evangelist, in the fiery old-time Pentecostal style, seemed to my mind like the words of a certified lunatic. He was preaching that the red blood of Jesus could take my scarlet sins and black heart, and wash them clean and make them white as snow. Although my mind was telling me I seriously needed to get out of there, something had a hold of my heart; and I sat there transfixed, hanging on his every word. Tempted to mock? There is a Scripture that speaks of one who answers before he hears a matter (Proverbs 18:13). Is that YOU?
by Paul Benson
Today the Church is being flooded with a tsunami of deception; and one of the greatest areas of false teaching is concerning the Return of our Lord Jesus to this world. It is the desire of the enemy of our souls that multitudes of Christians, seduced by deception, would enter the final 3 1/2 years of this age out of sync with God, and out from under his blessing, If you think this is not possible you are quite wrong; it is not only possible, this seduction is taking place right under our noses.
A good many years have passed since the Lord opened my eyes to the fact the Resurrection of the Just, and our catching away, takes place at the Second Coming; and that the notion of a prior event called the Pre-tribulation Rapture is not correct doctrine. One of the most challenging aspects of teaching on this issue is to get folks to realize the enormous damage caused by embracing that error, and the great danger it presents to the end-time generation. Let me share with you some insights the Lord has given me concerning just how serious a matter this truly is. Continue reading “The Curse Of The Pre-Trib Rapture!”
I had someone break fellowship with me a couple of years ago over the issue of the ‘Trinity versus Oneness’ debate. Although it was not a devastating experience, it was none the less somewhat painful as I had been having fellowship with this brother on a regular basis for a few years. This event was quite surprising to me considering the fact that although he is a Trinitarian (and quite proudly so), I am NOT involved in, nor do I promote, Oneness theology. I was not arguing against his beliefs or being contentious with him. I was merely refusing to embrace his exact theology, and make the proper ‘confession of faith’ he was demanding. And he felt that was unpardonable.
I happen to believe there are conflicts with Scripture found within the stance of both camps, and I refuse to pick a side, and engage in the battle. I am under the opinion that neither doctrinal set portrays (as they claim) a full and accurate description of who God is and what he is all about. Actually I see grave danger in attempting to define God. Please allow me to explain why I feel this way. Continue reading “The Dangers Of Defining God”
Have you been told there are no signs that need to be fulfilled before the catching away of the Church can happen? Maybe a good look at what the Bible really says might be in order!

A New Heavens
For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind. Isaiah 65:17
The Bible clearly teaches God is going to create new heavens. In light of this have you ever wondered what brings about the end of the current heavens? It is an event we see prophesied throughout the Old and New Testament. There are nearly twenty passages of Scripture which refer to the demise of the heavens / stars which now are. That’s a lot of Scripture devoted to a topic we rarely hear preached on. (Perhaps because it causes conflict with their end-time teachings?)
Surprisingly, according to God’s Word this event must transpire BEFORE what many refer to as ‘the Rapture’ (but the Bible calls the Resurrection of the Dead at the last day). Let’s lay some Scriptural foundation as to the fact this demise of the heavens happens in the events leading up to the Return of Jesus Christ to this planet. Continue reading “No Rapture Before The Signs In The Heavens Transpire!”
An allegory on the subject of the Return of Christ from the Song of Solomon.
by Paul Benson
My beloved spake, and said unto me, Rise up, my love, my fair one, and come away. 11 For, lo, the winter is past, the rain is over and gone; 12 The flowers appear on the earth; the time of the singing of birds is come, and the voice of the turtle is heard in our land; 13 The fig tree putteth forth her green figs, and the vines with the tender grape give a good smell. Arise, my love, my fair one, and come away. Song 2:10-13
What a poignant and beautiful allegory we get from this book of the Bible. There’s a day coming! A wonderful bright spring day arrives after a time of winter’s harshness. Who doesn’t anticipate spring after all the cold and moisture involved with the winter season? (Up here in Montana it comes in the form of snow and ice, and often sub-zero temperatures!)
